What is bothering you today?

If you are human and living on this earth, you encounter struggles, but when was the last time you stopped to look at them in perspective?

For years, I struggled with intense anxiety. That meant everyday experiences could feel like I was facing a life-or-death situation. Part of healing meant learning to slow down and ask what was really happening in my body…

And taking a step back to look at things objectively.

One thing I constantly ask myself, “will this matter in 1 year? 5 years?”

If the answer is no, then it’s not worth stressing over.

I saw someone post about being diagnosed with stage four cancer, and it reminded me again that life is so short and precious. If you are feeling down, what is it really that’s bothering you?

  • Are you frustrated because work was challenging, or is it actually because you aren’t getting enough self-care time?
  • Are you feeling frustrated with your spouse, or is it actually because you aren’t communicating enough?

We are never guaranteed tomorrow. But please don’t wait until something terrible happens to start figuring out what you really need to feel happy and fulfilled.
