words to use for manifestation

Manifesting is simple, BUT that doesn’t mean it’s easy. Most people who are learning how to manifest don’t yet understand that language plays an incredibly influential part in the process. That means using the wrong words can actually block your manifestations and put you on the wrong path.

The Transformative Power of Your Words

You can manifest your desires through the power of words and the law of attraction. In fact, neuroscientists, cognitive psychologists, and linguistic experts have for years studied the power of language. Your thoughts truly shape your reality. For example, when you constantly tell yourself something will happen, it’s easy for reality to follow suit! Good or bad.

This is why positive affirmations can be so incredibly powerful; repetition of your thoughts is what creates your reality. So, whenever you think and say empowering and positive things (even if you don’t fully believe them at first), you train your subconscious mind to believe them.

Over time, your subconscious mind begins to catch up and match your conscious thinking. Why is this important? Because 90-95% of your actions, thoughts, and behaviors are driven by your subconscious. If you want to change your behaviors, start with your subconscious.

So if you think negative thoughts or use negative words, you create negative energy. Using more powerful words in your daily life will help you shift your life and create a more positive mindset overall.

This is why it’s key to understand the words to use for manifestation.

Here are some power words & phrases to use for manifestation (and also what to avoid)

I am…

The primary key to manifesting is to shift your energy. One of the best ways to do this is to write your manifestations or speak them to the universe using “I am,” which is present tense. This means that you are, acting as if it’s already true.

By repeating and working on believing your affirmation, you can achieve any state you desire, regardless of your actual state. This is because your “I am” will trigger your subconscious mind to generate new feelings over time. Positive feelings are what bring manifestation to life.

For example, “I am a happy, decisive, worthy, and amazing woman.”

This is such a powerful tool for manifesting; it can create positive change and shift your energy quicker than almost any other tool. This is why I absolutely recommend using daily affirmations in your manifestation journey.

Get rid of “should,” “must,” “need,” and “have to”

This is one of the most common mistakes people can make; not paying attention to your constrictive thoughts and energy. Using the words “should,” “must,” “need,” and “have to” can make you feel heavy with the obligation.

As a result, these words constrict your energy. Rather than feeling like you have the power over your choices, these words imply that obligations control you.

Instead, consider “I get to” or “I want to”

Consider reframing your circumstances and finding gratitude for the things you are doing in life. For example, if you are struggling to find your dream job, but you are working. Try to find gratitude that you have a job while you are looking to create more abundance.

For example, “I am thankful I get to go to work today, so I can pay my bills while I also follow my dreams.”

Shifting your energy into alignment with what you do want is key to manifestation.

Use “when” not “if”

I truly believe that the word “when” is one of the most positive words you can add to your vocabulary when it comes to manifestation. It may seem like such a small thing, yet it’s such a powerful language swap that will shift your world radically.

For example, “When I start my new business, I will sell only organic items.”

No more excuses

Do you use excuses like, “I don’t have the money,” or “I’m too busy”? While it may seem like you’re simply being realistic, you’re actually sending a powerful message to your subconscious that you don’t believe your dreams can be realized. No matter how much you say otherwise.

As humans, we are social animals, and we care about what others think of us and want to fit in. That’s why making excuses is sort of a natural human response. At the moment, when you make excuses, you might feel happy since you avoided some pain. You will, however, feel less fulfilled and anxious or depressed in the long run.

words to use for manifestation focus

Also, when you say (or think) these things, your subconscious believes you and gives you more of it. Have you ever heard of a self-fulfilling prophecy? There’s a lot of truth to this old saying. The best thing you can do is shift your perspective of the situation so you can focus on your desired outcome.

Rather than focusing on the fact that you do not have money, you can say, “My hard work is paying off, and I am getting closer to financial abundance every day.”.

Using expansive versus constrictive words

Do you know the difference between these two statements, “I will be abundantly wealthy” versus “I will get out of debt”? What’s the focus (or subject of each sentence)? The first statement is about wealth, and the second statement is about debt.

You may think they are similar ideas, but debt vs. wealth brings up very different feelings or energy. The next time you want to know if you use expansive or constrictive language, check yourself. See how it makes you feel.

A lot of people will claim that manifestation doesn’t work. However, what they don’t understand is that the focus of their thoughts is incredibly critical to the process. How it makes you feel is just as important as the intent behind the words.

Use “I want” versus “I don’t want”

Similar to the last tip. When you focus on what you do want, you are expressing to the universe (and your subconscious) exactly what you desire. Yet, when you say something like, “I don’t want to feel sad,” the focus of this thought is “sad,” and that’s what you will get more of. Regardless of what you intend, this is where your energy is focused and what the universe brings to life for you.

“Easily”

Adding this word to your manifestation method can really be a game-changer. Honestly, this one was difficult for me for a long time and created a lot of resistance. Unfortunately, we’ve been taught that abundance requires back-breaking sweat, blood, and tears. But that’s not true.

Nature creates abundance and balance by following the path of least resistance. It’s the same for us. In the same manner that water easily finds its way down a mountain, you create more in life when you find your alignment. As a result, things get easier.

“Investment” versus “Cost”

These may seem like similar words but take a moment to think about how they make you feel. Words like ‘cost’, ‘expense’ or ‘price’ can signify what you lost rather than what you gained.

A better term to use if you are buying something is ‘investment’. By doing this, you can find gratitude and enjoyment in whatever you purchase; You focus on the added value in your life instead of feeling like you lost money.

What else can you do to create more positive energy and manifest more quickly?

Adjust if necessary

It takes time to change the way you talk. Sometimes, you may feel a lot of resistance, if it feels like too much, try something a little less scary.

For example, if “I am massively wealthy” feels like too much of a stretch, start with “I am financially at ease.”

Learning how to communicate your thoughts and desires correctly takes practice. Begin manifesting with the right words and slowly incorporate them into your daily life and remember that resistance will pop up. You will need to push up against that resistance in a healthy way to keep growing.

words to use for manifestation dreams

Dream Big

The more positive emotions you feel, the quicker the universe aligns to make your dreams reality. A good way to kick-start the manifestation process is to use the tips above to start to create your dream life.

Pull out a journal and start to write down the specific things you dream of in life. What are you doing? Who are you with? Where do you live? Do this on a daily basis and see how quickly your life starts to shift.

Acknowledge and find gratitude for even the smallest manifestations

Gratitude is a powerful way to shift your energy and create a positive state of mind. I highly recommend getting a dedicated journal for your gratitudes. I can personally attest, this has made a major difference in my life.

Look out for resistance

Inevitably you will struggle with negative feelings; if you have fears and doubts, that doesn’t mean you are failing. It simply means you should take care of yourself and your energy. Positive thinking requires repetition, practice, and time. If you try to resist the negative thoughts, you actually make it harder to let them go.

Think of those negative thoughts as clouds that are flowing by. Let them go and work to replace them with more positive thoughts.

vision board words to use for manifestation

Start a Vision Board

If you don’t have a vision board, I strongly suggest you get one. When you visualize and bring your dreams into the real world, you speak directly to the universe. Remember, life is a self-fulfilling prophecy; ask for what you want, and you shall receive.

Stop overthinking

According to Tony Robbins, “The path to success is massive, determined action.” Making tough decisions is a top trait of great leaders, but many people make excuses due to “analysis paralysis.” Stop overthinking, let go of the past, and take massive action to make your dreams come true.

The language of manifestation can take some time to become your default. The good news is that I know it’s absolutely possible for you. For more than half of my life, I was a pessimist. My inner voice was a mess, and I brought a lot of negative energy into the world. Over time, I unburied the true optimist within, and my default has become empowering language.
