The law of attraction is well known, but have you ever heard of the theory of “like attracts like”? It’s the same idea, but you’ve likely heard this in scientific contexts, they actually go hand-in-hand.
To understand the theory that like attracts like, we need to explore the direct connection between quantum physics and the law of attraction which is The Observer Effect. This phenomenon proves that the act of observation alters the behavior of the particles being observed. Meaning energy (human consciousness) is altering the state of other energy (particle in the experiment).
Quantum physics is still evolving and incredibly complex. Yet, it’s explaining a lot of what could not be explained because of classical Newtonian physics. In short Newtonian physics focuses on larger things, things you can see. Like a desk or a table. Quantum physics focuses on things you can’t see like atoms and electrons.
And things get wild when you start looking at quantum mechanics. The same laws don’t apply to the quantum world.
Manifesting & Quantum Physics
Quantum physics is bringing light to the power of energy and our thoughts.
Everything is energy, including people, plants, animals, and even inanimate objects. Your thoughts and feelings create energy. We can clearly see the differences in energy produced by the human body through thermal energy (image below).
We are now learning that by aligning your energy (created by your thoughts and emotions) with the things you desire in life, you are able to dictate what you want to attract in your life.
The Basics of Quantum Physics
Everything in the universe is made up of particles; remember when you learned about atoms in high school science class? It is the vibration or motion of those particles that we measure as energy.
And it goes another step further, those particles are made up of smaller particles called subatomic particles. It’s at the subatomic level where we see incredible things happen that prove the Law of Attraction isn’t just a woo-woo, pie in the sky idea.
Quantum physics proves that when energies with the same vibrations align, they are attracted to one another.
The rules of physics are different when particles are subatomic. We all learned about Newtonian physics in school. For example, Newton’s Law of Motion, an object at rest will stay at rest, and an object in motion will stay in motion at constant velocity, unless acted upon by an unbalanced force (e.g. gravity).
It is not so easy with quantum physics. For starters, scientists have proven that particles behave differently when an observer watches them compared to when they don’t.
This quantum phenomena is called The Observer Effect.
The “Double Slit Experiment” discovered this phenomenon by firing electrons at a plane with two slits. After passing through the slits, the electrons strike a screen. Several variations of the experiment were documented. Some with observers watching the actual experiment and some where no one was watching.
Ultimately the experiment was able to conclusively show that having someone observe the particles created different results versus when the particles were not monitored. In other words, all particles of energy have a limitless field of potentials surrounding them, and it is up to the observer to determine how the energy manifests itself.
Quantum Entanglement & Law of Attraction
In quantum physics, entangled particles occur when two bodies become connected to one another. No matter how far apart the objects are, they act as one. There could be only a few feet between them, or they could be thousands of miles apart. When one object interacts with another, the other object behaves as if it has been acted upon, too, at the same time, regardless of distance.
Throughout the universe, energy particles are entangled with each other, and they are surrounded by an infinite field of potential location, form, and behavior.
When you understand that you are the observer of your own life, you bring to life the Law of Attraction inherently.
Through the Observer Effect, observing, focusing, and giving energy to what is not yet present in your life instantly makes it so. When you give it enough energy, it takes on a physical form and becomes part of your life.
The reality you perceive is shaped by what you think about. Objects, people, and circumstances in your life are determined by the energy you emit through your thoughts.
When you become aware of something, it will become a part of your reality. So what are you ready to attract?
Raising your Energy (aka Frequency)
Plucking one guitar’s A string will also vibrate the A string on the next guitar if the two are sitting next to each other.
When you apply this concept to your raising your energy frequency you’ll see that people with a low frequency—people who are insecure and self-abandoning—attract each other. While people with a high frequency—people who love and value themselves—also attract each other.
Remember, misery loves company.
Those who are positive, open, caring, and kind are not attracted to people who are closed, negative, and needy.
While you aren’t deliberately trying to attract negative people in your life, your thoughts, beliefs, and actions are. Look at the people in your life, do they inspire you or bring you down?
Remember that you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. That can be hard to accept if you are desperate to have more positivity but you’re surrounded by negative people (I’ve been there).
What should you do if you are surrounded by negativity and just downright awful people? You must be willing to make a massive shift. Many people who want to change find that scary. There are so many women who dream of more in life but get stuck here. If you hang out with people who are negative, it’s easier to get stuck there. What’s the reason? It’s science. As the saying goes, “Like attracts like”.

If you want to go down a more positive path, you need to bombard your subconscious every day with positivity. It’s impossible to do this when you’re surrounded by negativity, right? It’s difficult, but it’s not impossible. You can trust me, I did it.
