The law of attraction is well known, but have you ever heard of the theory of “like attracts like”? It’s the same idea, but you’ve likely heard this in scientific contexts; they actually go hand-in-hand.
To understand the theory that like attracts like, we need to explore the direct connection between quantum physics and the law of attraction, which is The Observer Effect.
This event proves that the act of observation (e.g. monitoring, watching) alters the behavior of the particles being observed. Meaning energy (human consciousness) is altering the state of other energy (particle in the experiment).
Quantum physics is still evolving and incredibly complex. Yet, it explains much of what could not be explained because of classical Newtonian physics.
Newtonian physics focuses on larger things, things you can see with the naked eye—like a desk or a table. Quantum physics focuses on things you can’t see, like atoms and electrons.
And things get wild when you start looking at quantum mechanics. Scientists have discovered that the same laws don’t apply to the quantum world.
What does Quantum Physics have to do with Manifesting?
Quantum physics is bringing light to the power of energy and our thoughts.
Everything is energy, including people, plants, animals, and even inanimate objects. Your thoughts and feelings create energy.
Look at the image below, this is a measurement of energy for a range of different emotions. You can clearly see the differences in energy produced by the human body through thermal energy.
By aligning your energy (created by your thoughts and emotions) with the things you want, you can attract those things to you. It’s like sending out a signal to the universe about what you want, and the universe responds by sending it back to you.
The Basics of Quantum Physics Simplified
Everything in the universe is made up of particles; remember when you learned about atoms in high school science class? We measure the vibration or motion of those particles as energy.
And it goes further; those particles are made up of smaller particles called subatomic particles.
At the subatomic level, we see incredible things happen that prove the Law of Attraction isn’t just a woo-woo, pie-in-the-sky idea.
Quantum physics proves that when energies with the same vibrations align, they are attracted to one another.
The rules of physics are different when particles are subatomic. We all learned about Newtonian physics in school. For example, Newton’s Law of Motion, an object at rest will stay at rest, and an object in motion will stay in motion at constant velocity, unless acted upon by an unbalanced force (e.g. gravity).
It is not so easy with quantum physics. For starters, scientists have proven that particles behave differently when an observer watches them compared to when they don’t.
What is The Observer Effect and why does it matter?
The Observer Effects was discovered during a famous experiment called the “Double Slit Experiment.” Scientists shoot a beam of particles at a screen with two slits. Behind the screen, a detector records where each particle lands.
When the experiment is run with the detector turned OFF, the particles create an interference pattern (a pattern created by the overlapping of particles).
However, when the detector is turned ON, the particles no longer create an interference pattern and instead behave like individual particles.
This shows that the act of observing or measuring the particles affects their behavior and that the observer or the measuring device can have an impact on the outcome of the experiment.
Just like the particles in the experiment can change their behavior depending on how they are observed or measured, our reality can change depending on our thoughts, beliefs, and actions.
This is the basis of the law of attraction, which suggests that we can attract what we want in life by aligning our thoughts and emotions with our desires.
How does Quantum Entanglement help us make sense of the Law of Attraction?
Quantum entanglement is a phenomenon in quantum mechanics where two or more particles can become entangled and affect each other’s behavior, even when separated by great distances. This means that the condition of one particle can instantly affect the other particle’s state, regardless of the distance between them.
This phenomenon can help us make sense of the law of attraction because it suggests that everything in the universe is connected at a fundamental level.
According to the law of attraction, our thoughts and emotions can attract specific experiences or events into our lives, which can be understood in terms of the universe’s interconnectedness.
When you understand that you are the observer of your own life, you bring to life the Law of Attraction inherently.
Just like particles can become entangled and affect each other’s behavior, our thoughts, and emotions can affect the energy field around us, influencing the experiences and events we attract into our lives. This means that our thoughts and feelings can have a ripple effect throughout the universe, impacting our own experiences and those around us.
Therefore, quantum entanglement can help us make sense of the law of attraction by highlighting the interconnectedness of the universe and the potential impact that our thoughts and emotions can have on our reality.
What does it mean to raise your energy or frequency?
Plucking one guitar’s A string will also vibrate the A string on the next guitar if the two are sitting next to each other.
When you apply this concept to your raising your energy frequency, you’ll see that people with a low frequency—people who are insecure and self-abandoning—attract each other. While people with a high frequency—people who love and value themselves—also attract each other.
Remember, misery loves company. This is why it’s so important to build a positive support network.
Those who are positive, open, caring, and kind are not attracted to people who are closed, negative, and needy.
While you aren’t deliberately trying to attract negative people in your life, your thoughts, beliefs, and actions are. Look at the people in your life, do they inspire you or bring you down?
Remember that you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. That can be hard to accept if you are desperate to have more positivity but you’re surrounded by negative people (I’ve been there).
What should you do if you are surrounded by negativity and just downright awful people? You must be willing to make a massive shift. Many people who want to change find that scary. There are so many women who dream of more in life but get stuck here. If you hang out with people who are negative, it’s easier to get stuck there. What’s the reason? It’s science. As the saying goes, “Like attracts like”.

Why is manifesting different when you’ve experienced trauma?
Trauma can affect our ability to manifest in several ways. Firstly, trauma can lead to negative thought patterns and beliefs, undermining your ability to manifest positive outcomes. For example, suppose you’ve experienced abuse or neglect. In that case, you may have thoughts about not being worthy or deserving of good things. Of course, this can make it difficult for you to focus on positive outcomes.
Trauma also causes stress and anxiety, making it challenging to feel positive and visualize what you want. When you are in a state of fight or flight, your brain is focused on survival. How can you focus on manifesting your dreams when you are in a state of survival?
Trauma affects your sense of control in your life. You can feel helpless and powerless, which makes it difficult to believe you have the power to manifest positive changes.
This is why it’s so critical to find a trauma-informed healing path that helps you shift your thoughts and negative patterns and reduce your stress.
